Building Home Web Server.

Hello,

I was planning to build a home web-server off it's own fiber line. I'm running a ClearOS box to help battle internet traffic using it as a gateway firewall. I have 16 IP's I can use.

The majority of the server will be used by FFMpeg, since two of my main sites are multi-media related right now I'm having to use my current web-server and a storage server to host the bulk of the media files. FFMpeg creates them from 260p up to 2160p and mobile so 1 video gets converted multiple times and outputs various resolutions.

Hardware I plan to use is this:

AMD Ryzen 7 2700X

16GB DDR4-3200 Memory

ASRock Tachi X470

500gb SSD (boot/os)

CentOS 7

NZXT H440

I will be filling the 11 3.5 bays with: Either A) HGST 10+ TB or B) WD Red 10+ TB, Lastly C, Seagate IronWolf 14TB ** I will be adding as needed. I could go smaller drives 4-6TB. Depends on how much drives finally get down to.

I could not find a RAID Card to work with an ASRock Board. A friend donated his LSI MegaRAID 9260-8i but it's PCI-E 2.0 x8 and I have no slot on the board for either the ASRock Gaming X370.

Only port comes close to fitting it is my 2nd PCI-E slot for a video card on this machine, I wanted to test it out first.

But the Tachi has 10 SATA Ports, so I'm sure that's plenty.

Any suggestions? I already know it's stupid to use desktop parts for web hosting, but I'm on disability so I cannot afford much.

That RAID card would I plug that into my 2nd Video Card Slot even those it's 3.0, I don't want to kill my system.
