Hi, I am currently using my 3y's old Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo Plus, it has a broken screen(since like 2 weeks after buying it), the headphone jack doesn't work, the charge port doesn't work, since august the phone decides to touch the screen in some points(it's really annoying specially if you are playing games) and recently the multitasking button at the bottom has stopped working, should I try to repair it or buy a new one? (I have another phone like this, one friend gaved it to me so I can charge the battery, and I could get one more if needed)
If I had to buy a new phone, which?
-No iphone
-No phone with a notch
I don't have a big budget (or I wasn't here writing this) so I thouth of the Honor 9 lite and the S7 edge and lately the LG Q7, maybe should I wait till the s10 is announced so the S7 will drop in cost even more?
Do you have any suggestion for what phone I should buy?

Do you have an upgrade contract with your provider? Check out the note 8, I'm quite pleased with it.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

avoid samsung, your currrent phone should be enough proof of the quality those things have.

ASUS X470-PRO • R7 1700 4GHz • Corsair H110i GT P/P • 2x MSI RX 480 8G • Corsair DP 2x8 @3466 • EVGA 750 G2 • Corsair 730T • Crucial MX500 250GB • WD 4TB

I'm not defend Sammy in any way, however OP has left many unknowns, like did they drop it? If so how high how did it hit? (usually a screen regardless of phone model will break if it's the corner) Did they have a case on it? Was it a soft silicon or hard one?

The random touches are likely cause from the broken screen, possibly the digitizer, the charging port if never replaced is 3 years old which is damn decent considering most toss phones after 2 years.

I'd avoid anything used unless it has a removable battery. That said I doubt they will announce the s10 before your current phone makes you wanting to smash it into tiny little pieces ;)

The J6 sounds nice, just make sure you put a good case on it and it should last a while.

I dropped it on the street with no protection at all

Yea, that would kill almost any phone lol...

True, and while the S7 is a great phone imo for a 2.5 year old phone it is still over priced.... Esp if the batteries where not at least swapped out. For the J6 compare the 32 > 64 versions because apparently the 64 has 4GB as well instead of 3GB.

If possible you can also try comparing the Q6+ if new, It's slightly more better display(a lot better PPI), lacks OLED however so some battery loss will happen (possibly color too), it runs a 28nm instead of a 14nm too which could cause a little battery loss too.

It's ridiculously impossible to suggest almost any LG phone because everything under 250 EUR seems to have 2GB RAM, which for Android isn't enough (depending on the person)...

For now I switched the screen, headphone jack, multitasking button and the camera with the one of the phone that my friend gave me.

In the lock screen the touch is a bit wired but in the home screen and games it's good but I have still to use the other phone to charge the batterie, this metod doesn't suck and I can charge the 2nd batterie while I am using my phone.
