Ok, so atm I can pruchase this build for $517 (excluding the case). Should I still wait till after holiday deals and such, or do you think this will be a better buy.

How desperately do you need this PC? I'm sure Micro Center and other tech sites and stores will have Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals next month

Black Friday/Cyber Monday is close enough that I would recommend waiting to see what deals pop up. You might be able to purchase a 2600X or even a 2700 with the price difference, or buy more RAM by then.
