School laptop

I was wondering what laptop I should start saving monies for. I was looking at a Zephy GM501 or a Razer blade 2018. What r your guys's opinions? I was going to use it for college and light gaming. (A friend comes over to play BO4 with PS4 controller he would use this)

Where are you from? Budget? Preferred max weight and min battery life? Usage?

neither

don't get a super thin and light. they have no battery life and the cooling is terrible.
get something the size of a gigabyte saber15 (not nessesarly that, but you get the idea)

 

thin and light gaming laptops sound good on paper (thin, light, overpowered) but they loose all cooling and most of their battery life.
and they're crazy expensive and loose 40% of their value the second you come out of the store.

I know the Zhephy does have a mode to turn off the GPU an run integrated but that should save battey life. my budget isn't set in stone and I was just wondering what I should lean towards. i dont really care about weight but some decent battery life would be nice.

I'd get a Gigabyte Aero 15X if you want the best of everything (except battery, which is just okay)

Yeah i took a look at that. it looks pretty good. i'll look into it more.

I saw the laptop has the optimus technolagy so it can switch betwen integrated or discrete like the Zephy.
