So i was thinking to buy a new monitor and someone recommended me this monitor ASUS ROG SWIFT PG258Q

Is it worth it? i'll be using it for gaming. 

and if not what do you recommend?

If you're a hardcore gamer who plays FPS games, then yes that monitor will serve you well. 

 

IMO, even a 144Hz monitor is enough for FPS gaming.

do you get over 200 fps in your games? If not, it wouldn't be worth the money

If your not sure its worth it, this leads me to believe you've not put your eyes on a 120-144hz panel yet?

Remember that even some games, set to LOWEST, can't hit 144fps on the Best GPU in the world,.. due to the game not being coded fluently to do so...
