So my computer has been running "stable" for several months now, but i decided to run a quick cinebench test which caused the computer to hard crash. Upon rebooting it, it needed multiple attempts before i could get it into bios. I didnt change any settings, and it was able to post and boot. I can't think of any instability issues but it's possible. Other variables are that i just topped off my reservoir, changed the location of an rgb strip (didn't change headers), and played around with aura a bit. Auras given me trouble in the past, but i'm just curious as to what people think. (Aura was open when i ran cinebench).

I didn't have any overclocks running during the test except for XMP settings on the memory.

That can happen sometimes after a hardlock/crash. I think I read somewhere about it being PSU related..... basically like having left over power in odd capacitors and crap like that (I don't know anything about electricity). As long as it doesn't continue to do it every time you boot, I wouldn't worry too much

that makes sense. I haven't hard locked in a while. Last time was when i first finished the system - getting the bugs out/playing with overclocks. Still kinda weird to me that it crashed during cinebench. I don't test it too often but it hasn't crashed from any kind of benchmark / stress test since i've gotten "stable" a few months ago

What do you mean by "stable" if you're not OCed

My memory is OC'd. I usually have my gpu OC'd if I'm going to play games. But mostly it took me a long time to find stable speeds/timings with my memory. I also had an issue with my mobo, where multiple temp monitoring applications would fight over access to mobo's temp sensors and cause it to crash out of nowhere. That one took forever to figure out, but ended up determining AI Suite was at fault.

I say "stable" because so far, so good. There could still be a couple underlying issues i haven't discovered, but i like to think its stable because it's been running without any issues for a few months now
