Windows Installer not recognizing HDDs

Hi, I've been trying to install Windows Server 2008 on an old HP Proliant DL120 G5 and, even tho bios sees the HDDs and I can create RAID arrays with the HP utility, Windows Installer says that it can't find any disk to install windows onto.

 

What am I missing here?

Maybe you are missing some (probably SATA) Drivers.

I would check the manufacturers website.

Windows doesn't have drivers for your RAID-controller, switch the HDDs to use AHCI instead or give the installer the drivers.

What I know Windows Server doesn't even support all SATA controllers, so i would defenetly check the Manufacturers website if swichting to AHCI doesn't help

How do I install the first driver if I can't install the OS?

You extract its contents to e.g. a USB-stick.

extract the executable, and copy the files over to your installation USB or whatever. Then during install when it asks you for a driver, navigate to the extracted files and load the *.cat file.
