PRESENTS: THE BEST THREAD EVER!!!

(no but really, lets get down to business.)

I will be building this in 1-2 years so I will document it here now.

My plan is to build a computer that is not visible, so I will get a big large table. Something like this:

QVtSIGm.jpg

The computer will be in a small case. Something like a HTPC case so that it fits under the table. Any suggestions?

The computer will be used for gaming, studies, video editing so it will be a pretty good computer. 1000$+.

To do the cable managing, I would have to drill holes in it and drag them against the wall to a power jack.

I will build a metal case to lay the computer in so I can drag it up and down (up for hiding computer) (down for using computer). I will probably buy a very cheap electrical motor to be able to do it up and down without me doing anything xD.

Would this be too expensive or do you guys think I could go forward with this?

In 1-2 years? No offence but why post this?

Since Linustechtips will just grow, so I think I will be able to look back at this later. Also, I'm not sure I might be doing this in a few months. It depends on how my laptop works. I'd also like to see if people could tell me how this would work and this can give inspiration to others.

In 1-2 years? No offence but why post this? Also you're 12 years old now even in a few years this will have so many design challenges that I kind of doubt it.

How does a 12 year old get $1k to spend on a PC?, Im so jelly.

Since you're from Sweden, I assume it's from IKEA? :P

I could get something from IKEA, this picture is found by typing "table" in google images. (My current table is from IKEA.)

I work for it ;) I've got 1000€. Most of this money has been given to me by relatives but I have made hundreds of euros by working at home and such. (We rebuilt house and I helpt many many many many hours and got some pay from it.)

Cool, but I don't want it in the table, I want it under so I can unmount it if I do not like the table anymore.
