Im looking at doing a r9 270x crossfire. i already own a Asus R9 270X DCU2 TOP card and it runs wonderful. Now im looking for another card to run in crossfire. I've looked around and found 3 contenders. I was wondering what your thoughts are on the following cards along with compatability thoughts.

As long as a 2nd asus card fits, that would be my choice just for redundancy. Any r9 270x will be compatible for crossfire though!

Any 270x will work just as well.

The reason i was looking at the other two was for the fact that running in crossfire the top card always get hotter. So if i got a card with a slightly longer cooler i would be able to cool the top card a bit more effectively. That was my train of thought on this one. But i may be wrong. Thats why i ask.

How big of a gap is there in between the cards? Even a small gap should be sufficient
