hey every body!

I´m going to format my computer due to some issues and I would like to know if I´ll loose all my   data or not

I have that question because the operational system is installed in a SSD and my programs, musics, videos....... is all in a HDD

So the question, when formating my windows to make a fresh install

I have to backup my data or there is no problem in formating it and my data will be safe?

thanks in advance

A rule of thumb is that if youre concerned about your data then you should back it up.

Your HDD data will be fine, but still, back up regardless

thanks for answering my msg @Slottr

something that I just thought about is, what if i just disconnect the HDD

and format the  ssd

that way I´m sure that the data on the HDD wont be affected

but the i dont know if when placing the hdd  back

the issue that is making me format my computer would persist or not

the reason that I´m formating my computer now

is that I can´t install or deinstall anything on my computer

and I can´t access cmd with admin previlegies

everything was working just fine until 2 days ago

somebody suggested that some file in windows got corrupted and

that formatting would be the solution

that´s the reason im formatting my pc

There a lot of videos on how to do a clean install.

Just make sure you Windows key is linked to your Microsoft account.

You can check in

Setting

Security

Activation

You should read something similar-- Windows is activated with a digital license ....
