so last year i decided on a hp z600 as a budget build for a pc that will meet my multi core needs. so for the start of the build i stepped up ram to 3 x 4gig sticks ddr3 ram on main cpu. second cpu was not installed. 1tb hard drive, msi gtx 750ti, and stock heat sync for cpu. and at the point everything worked great. so i did some research while planning my build and decided on 2 xeon x5672s for my cpu upgrade as well as the first upgrade to the pc. as well as 2 water cooled heat syncs and a giant radiator with dual cooling fans. anyways weeks later all my parts had arrived. heat syncs were supposed to come with hardware for this socket. one came with hardware that fit and worked with no modification to the motherboard or case the other one came with similar hardware that needed slight modification to fit motherboard. long story short on that i ordered one heat sync with the radiator and one by itsself. so i had to remove the motherboard to install studs in heatsync mounting holes (the studs that came with one of the heat syncs is what i had to modify to fit motherboard). when removing the motherboard i noticed that not all the screws that mount the motherboard to the case were present. after reinstalling the motherboard i wasnt able to remember which holes had the screws and which ones didnt but i did reinstall all the screws in what seemed like the best locations to secure motherboard to case. so then i go about removing the cpu in the first cpu socket and replacing it with the new x5672 cpu and opening the cover on the second cpu socket to install second cpu and in the process of popping the cover off if the socket the cover slipped out of my hand landed in the socket and bent the pins. i went through the task of straightening them out then proceeded to put the socket cover back on for testing purposes to make sure i hadnt wrecked the motherboard. so the main cpu i installed the watercooler popped the ram in and got it all put back together the best i could then hooked it all up and tried to turn it on. all the lights come on fans come on cpu gets warm. it has no post beep. nothing displays on screen and resetting cmos or password jumper pins doesnt do anything. i get no beeps or flashing. and keyboard commands for resetting bios or even entering it at startup do nothing. other than cpus i have been able to test the ram, hdd, and graphics card in another computer and verify they all work. i have tried installing original cpu and still nothing. im wondering if mabye one of the missing motherboard screws is a ground or if mabye 2 of the cpu pins were touching. i need help in determining if the motherboard is toast or fixable. so my question is if the cpu pins on the socket touched and the machine powered up is it going to break something? and could a missing mount screw cause something like this to happen. and is there mabye something i missed besides resetting the cmos to fix this issue. please help linus.

im a huge fan of your youtube channel by the way i have learned alot of what i know today from watching your videos and from them was able to build my first gaming pc a buget build that i built for less than $300 that will run cod bo3 on low settings at 60fps as well as gta and all my favorite pc games.
