Stuttering in various Games

Hello dear LTT Forum users, 

 

i recently bought a fresh new GTX 1070 Ti and i was worried that my i5 4460 would bottleneck it.

 

I still think it does but should BF1 really run on 1080p ultra at 60fps with brutally unplayable stuttering ? i dont think so. also ghost recon wildlands is also running at barely 55 fps 1080p ultra

 

since im using a 144hz panel, i think this is a huge issue.

 

i even overclocked the card and checked all the thermals and nothing is overheating and my i5 is still boosting fine to 3.4Ghz.

 

Do you guys think its the bottlenecking faults or is it something else ?

bottlenecking in ghost recon wildlands for sure. I played that game in a 2600k at 4.5GHz, still barely manage 60fps to 75fps. I did use 4460 with RX 470 before, I need low settings just to have hope of staying near 60fps.

 

BF1 is also a CPU heavy game, so not surprised if it stutters.

Well i saw a Video where someone set his cpu Speed to 99% instead of 100% in the powersettings, and it worked lol, atleast in bf1 , had no time to test other Games

i smell unmatching rams! erratic frame drops are caused by rams that do not match.

i use a dual kit of Crucial Ballistix sport, 2x4GB DDR3 1600 , so it shouldnt be a problem

hold up, you only have 8gb total? your 8gb will limit your fps.
