Recent Documentaries

I've been looking for some novel media on consumer technology (or at least modern tech, in general), and decided to look for some documentaries that might have some quality (not History channel-syle, tacky video editing) production, and a nice balance of breadth and depth of topics. Some ideas of what I could find perhaps involved some current events or developments in high technology, or some stories on the overall arch of history of the R&D of modern tech. I was surprised that I found virtually nothing like this. Does anyone know of any docs, or even books like this?

In fact, I'm open to any suggestions at all that come to mind while you're reading this; and yes I'm aware of what I'm asking, considering I'm on the interent.

Computer Science Museum has a lot of videos. Most are interviews and panel discussions, but they give nice background on things.
