PNY XLR8 240GB SSD

Yes the benchmark is equivalent to real write speeds. I'm only getting 4MB/s usually.

What does crystaldiskinfo report? I'm just wondering if this is just a poorly TRIM'd or nearly full SSD.

Just TRIMed and only 63% full.

Nothing obvious to me so far... Would be curious to see more of the SMART data for the drive.

Get a firmware upgrade (if available), they have a tool in their website to find FW updates: https://www.pny.com/support/technical-support/solid-state-drives/firmware-update/internal-ssd

Just tried the firmware update, none available for mine. ?

Yeah it seems to be dying, a secure erase could be a life saver for you and trying a BIOS update also, but if none of this works for you then find a replacement and do a back up.
