I will just be using my keyboard and it will randomly disconnect. I have the CMStorm trigger keyboard and when it disconnects the leds will turn off and numlock, capslock, scrolllock lights will light up. I would have to remove the cable and plug it back in for it to work again and even sometimes i will have to do that multiple times to get it to work. Pls HELP

Try a different USB port.

Probably the keyboard itself or the cable from it.

i think that keyboard has a detachable mini usb cable. I would try a different cable if that is the case.

like said above if you can try a different cable. If not try a different computer with that keyboard see if the problem follows it or not.

I had a computer that when gaming the mouse would lose power no mater what mouse or what usb port never found out why.lol

  • 6 months later...

I was able to repair mine (out of warranty) quite simply. I simply removed the screws from the bottom the keyboard, Then you gently pry the two halves of the keyboard apart. inside you'll find a small cable which connects the usb/power interface to the mainboard. I simply disconnected and reconnected each side of the cable, put it all back together and voila! No more disconnects.
