So I want to stream better than I am on my iMac so i want to build a pc

Heres where im torn i like intel because of their high ratings and continuous performance but since im on a budget I dont know if i should get a Pentiun processor or pay a little bit more and get 4 cores on the Ryzen platform.

What do you guys think Pentium or Ryzen

the extra cores will help out for streaming if you can pony up the extra cash.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W

Thats what i was thinking even though the pentium has 2 cores plus the two virtual one from hyperthredding i thought the ryzen would be better.

If i paired it with a GTX 1050 ti what settings in like fortnite could I play cause I could have the Ryzen 8 built in graphics run streaming while the GTX 1050 ti runs the gaming

Could i do that?

This might help a lot. You might be able to use your mac to do the streaming, and spend your money on a dedicated gaming PC. This article is worth a read if you'd like to use both computers in tandem to stream.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

@fasauceome is right, it would be a great idea to tandem the mac and dedicated gaming PC. A lot of popular streamers do this so they can get good performance out of their main PC and keep all the streaming on another computer.

If you do this idea you might be able to spend a little more on the gaming pc

Even if you do offload your streaming to your mac or another computer, you definitely should not go with the Pentium. Do the Ryzen build.
