How to clean your Hard drive and see what takes up the most space

megadarkwood

I have a 1TB hard drive on my laptop have about around 400gb of space left, I wanted to open up some space and decided to do some research on how to.

I came across this program called "WizTree". It takes a look at all of your large files and programs and arranges them into a "tree" so you can go through and delete the ones that you do not really need

You can download WizTree here: http://antibody-software.com/web/software/software/wiztree-finds-the-files-and-folders-using-the-most-disk-space-on-your-hard-drive/. Just run the installer and run the program:

4: Just follow the installer, its simple. When you are done, launch the program.

When you are done with the install, run the program and hit the scan button in the top left:

When the scan is done, you will see the largest files on your computer. Click on "Top 1000 Largest Files"

To delete the file ***(MAKE SURE YOU DON'T NEED IT ANYMORE)***
