Hey guys,

I noticed a strange behavior in my PC for months now... at first i though i was temporary but now its showing up frequently.

My screen glitches every time the desktop is refreshed, ejecting storage device, inserting storage device, when i close my browser,or a notification pops up.

For a fraction of a second the entire or sometimes few blocks of the screen turns negative......it also happens when i unlock my screen....some times it stays like there until i move my mouse.

Its been an year since i assembled this PC.......but the monitor is quite old.

specs:-

ryzen 3 1200

gtx 1050ti asus phoenix

8gb ddr4 2400mhz

450w psu

windows 10 OS

i have attached a screenshot on how it looks like.....

If anyone knows what this is and what is the problem please reply with a solution.

Thank You.glitch.png.64eb072c855c0a26f5719769a0b00eb7.png

Not possible....its turned off aready...the display is just temporary.

So then you have a software that is having fun flipping the colors.

But to tackle the GPU drivers possibility ('cause you never know, even though I have my doubts)

Go on Nvidia web site ()https://www.geforce.com/drivers), and get the latest drivers for your graphics card there.

Then run the setup. In the setup, you'll have 2 options: Express and Custom (Advanced).

Pick "Custom".

Then, check the box to do a clean install. This will remove all traces of the drivers, and re-install them. Also, on the same screen, uncheck: GeForce Experience, .NET and  Nvidia 3D Vision items. You just want the drivers. That is what you care about.

Note: because you selected to do a clean install, your computer may restart during the process. Setup will resume shortly you are log back in into your account and everything is loaded.

Here is what I suggest to do after the GPU drivers where re-installed:

  • Run Malwarebytes to scan your system
  • Run an anti-virus scan just to be sure you have have nothing
  • Look at the Task Manager (Details view tab) for anything that doesn't look right. You can show the "Command line" columns to see if there is anything running at strange locations and not part of Windows, like AppData folder, or C:\Program Files folders (beside the programs you know you have installed there and running, for example: Firefox)

Could be a dying monitor or a faulty video cable.

Could you try with a different monitor and able and see if the issue occurs?

Hi. I did just like you said reinstall driver and run malware bytes...and soon enough i noticed some difference but still the problem has not solved entirely. The screen does appear but the time it remains on the screen has been reduced.
