Mouse Unclicks Itself

The problem is: I'll be playing a game or googling stuff and every 5 or so seconds it will like click itself causing me to have to reclick onto the program, I've taken the mouse out and it still does it. Any suggestions help!

Does it happen when you move the cursor to another program? Or even if it's just sitting in one spot?

If it still does it with the mouse disconnected, the mouse isn't the problem.

Sounds like you have a software that likes to send mouse click Windows API calls.

Check if you have any malware on your system, and try uninstalling your keyboard/mouse software, if any are installed.

Is this on a desktop or on a laptop?

Maybe you've enabled ClickLock or some other mouse specific setting?

If you have a software for the mouse/touchpad installed, try removing it.

I may have accidentally installed some malware? My younger brother likes to download lots of stuff on the laptop. I've deleted every file he put on there, but it still persists. If it is malware, what can I do?
