Well I finally pulled the trigger and bought my parts today. Upgrading from an old:

and a cheap old motherboard and harddrive

just purchases today and upgrading to the following:

Case: Cooler Master H500

PSU: EVGA SuperNova 650W Gold

GPU: Asus ROG Strix GeForce GTX 1080ti

Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix Z370-E

Cooling: Corsair Hydro H100i PRO

CPU: Intel I7-8700K

SSD: Samsung 970 EVO 500GB

SSD: Western Digital Black 2TB

Ram: G.Skill Trident Z RGB 16GB, 3000MHz

It is a good upgrade but you could have saved money for things like just getting an extra 8gb of ram and saving $50. Otherwise good build. make sure you take time to make it beautiful.

I'd rather go for the H500P Mesh (Gunmetal or White) for better radiator clearance for you CLC

I'm going to be looking into replacing the front panel with Mesh,

Wait. The Coolermaster H500 and the Coolermaster H500P are not the same case.

I myself own a H500P with Coolermaster's mesh front panel mod which was sold separately for 15€ is my region.
In Europe, we have retailers selling the H500P Mesh: White & Gunmetal. I suggest you look into more of the canadian retailers in order to find the H500P Mesh.

The H500P, as opposed to the H500P Mesh, does not come with any means of controlling the lighting on the 2x 200mm RGB fans. You either need a motherboard with an RGB header, or a molex-powered mini RGB controller which you can buy for $10.
In my experience, the lighting on the fans will be weaker with a motherboard than with the mini-RGB controller.

Check my RGB guide for more information. Good luck!

The 8GB of ram I currently have a very old and wouldn't compliment my new build.

It also wouldn't be compatible

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

To be honest I’ve been waiting 6 months already to pull the trigger. I couldn’t be bothered to wait until Black Friday lol.

And I have a friend that is buying my old PC off me since his died over a year ago and he hasn’t bought a new one since

instead of buying an entire kit, you could have added 8gb more and had 16, saving 50+ dollars.
