Cheap (used) laptop for gaming?

I want a laptop (17" prefered) that can game. I prefer 1080 as well. It does not have to be new. I am looking for the lowest cost for effective gaming. I play mostly Planetside 2. I don't mind an older gaming laptop, but not so sure about them. I understand a GTX 1050 with a 1080 screen will game well. How about a GTX 670M or the older mobile GPUs?

 

Just want it to game at least medium settings at 60fps. Maybe an older Alienware or something?

I don't want something too old like a core 2 duo. I figure at least Sandy Bridge or newer.

Austin (Duncan3303) Evans actually did a video on this awhile ago. In short though it depends what you can find. There are a number of GTX 1050 equipped 15 inch laptops with a plastic build that are capable. I'd probably not go too old on a mobile GPU though as the power efficiency of Pascal and how close in performance newer mobile GPUs are compared to their desktop counterparts.
