Need help with motherboard

I'm pretty much brand new to PC building but I know some of the basics. I need help with deterniming if I can install a m.2 SSD on my motherboard. It is a IDM17-DD2 motherboard. I got it in a pre built pc and there's almost 0 forms online about this PC so I came to here for help. I don't have a picture of it right now, but if you need one please say so. Thanks!

There IS an M.2 slot (but the black PCI-E X1 slot), but...

• Small sized M.2 (Key A?)
• Cannot find what the maximum supported speed is for this M.2 slot

I got one picture of it that I took and another from an eBay listing. Didn't get a good one because I didn't know what to look for. Sorry.

It's has an M2 slot based on your picture and the picture posted by "-rascal-" above.  Different PCB color though but layout is generally the same.

The M.2 slot is occupied by a Wi-Fi card, though.

I don't think the particular is designed for M.2 SSD's -- most likely a PCI-E X1 bus connection...which would be SUPER SLOW for a SSD.

Plus, not many SSDs are that size / form factor; even if they are, it would be like 64GB or 128GB in capacity.
