SSDs use cells rather than sectors. In actual use, however, cells are pretty much the same as sectors. Since cells will eventually wear out (they have a finite number of writes available although that number is pretty high), manufacturers put some extra cells on them that are reserved for use as replacements for worn out cells, a process called overprovisioning.

 

While HDD sectors technically are far more durable than SSD cells, modern SSDs, especially the better ones, have become so durable you will probably replace the SSD with newer, better technology long before you wear it out.
