So QVI just should "Guarantee" the ram will work but honestly there are rams that will work outside of that, and sometimes they list a certain ram should work, and then it doesn't. I have used both corsair and ripsaw memory with a B450 and X470 and it worked just fine.

Hello.

 

So i am doing my first pc build and almost have all of the parts figured out. I choose to go with ryzen 5 2600x, and GIGABYTE X470 AORUS Ultra Gaming motherboard. I am looking for a good but not to expensive ram for it, but QVL for this motherboard is not very helpful. I would like my ram to be running at 3200. 

 

Any help is appreciated.

Ram is actually pretty cheap (compared to what it was still not as cheap as it should be). But if you don't care about color, Ripsaws brand is extremely reliable and you can find a 3200 16 gb kit for under $150 usd, and it should work just fine.

I suggest 16gb of RAM minimum and if you want to save money but keep performance then skip the RGB. Anything with RGB is going to bump up in price. 

My budget is around 180 euros.

Is there any way to verify ram for a motherboard or is qvl the only way

So QVI just should "Guarantee" the ram will work but honestly there are rams that will work outside of that, and sometimes they list a certain ram should work, and then it doesn't. I have used both corsair and ripsaw memory with a B450 and X470 and it worked just fine.
