I think a 120gb SSD boot drive is quite small. I wouldn't take less than 240gb for it.

I also think you should look at the second gen Ryzen.  Not the first.

I've only installed Windows and programs on my SSD and I've used more than 120GB of space.

Great idea to do that. But his pcpartpicker only shows 1 SSD, so in his case that idea won't fly.

So I stick with my recommendation to take a bigger SSD than 120gb. :)

It will, just use HDD, or create a folder in HDD and more folders in that folder for individual programs. If HDD is about 200mb/s he'll be fine.

Ohh, you're right. In his build there's also an Intel Optane 32GB. So no need to install everything on the 120gb SSD.

Ye precisely. 120GB SSDs are £20 anyway, cheap. I'd buy another one in the future if he needs one or 240GB one, up to him.
