That's a great combo. Single rad for sufficient cooling or a light overclock, the Z370-F with pretty decent and attractive VRM cooling, 16GB of memory, and a great CPU. Bundles like these are almost always worth it, like the AMD combat crates from not long ago.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

The cooler is pretty underwhelming. You won't be doing a bunch of overclocking with that cooler.

With an 8086k, you can get away with 4.6 or 4.7 simply because it handles voltage so low.

Because it isn't worth it to overclock at that point.

4.7 all core over 4.3 all core? sounds worth it to me.

there is a 8700 kit almost just like it for like 30 dollars more, idk why tho, isnt this CPU better?

Probably just a discrepancy in stocking, seems like that shop stocks a lot of products and can't keep perfect track of their bundles, so bonus for you. less money for better product.

5ghz single core boost seems like it's a wash tbh.

but you can set the single core OC when you overclock, so the freq can be something like 5.4

Wasn't aware you can overclock your single core boost. That's very weird. I have never heard if that functionality.

At the same frequency, they're identical. The 8086k can be overclocked higher, or be at the same frequency with less voltage.

They are essentially the same chip. The 8086k has a higher single core boost and is therefore binned a bit better for that. It makes it more likely to reach those higher overclocks but it's still a lottery and you may get a good overclocker or you could get unlucky and get a mediocre overclocker.

That is not nessisarly true. The 8086k is just binned to reach 5ghz with a certain voltage. It isn't binned for overclocking. You are more likely to get a better overclocker with the 8086k but that isn't a sure thing.

The 8086k is binned for higher OC, many youtubers have tested that very thing. How much better it's binned is a different story, but generally speaking, hard core overclockers can get farther on an 8086k than an 8700k.

It would be akin to the 1800x vs the 1700. On average the 1800x could overclock sometimes but the 1700 could overclock better if you got lucky.
