You can, yes.

 

I'm running two sticks of Corsair Vengeance and two sticks of Patriot Viper 4 right now to give me a total of 4x4GB of RAM.

Is it possible? Sure. But you can cause some major instability with your system doing that. Do what @Bigman397 said and try to match timings and speed. That will be your best shot.
