I'm looking for a cheap graphics card that is capable of streaming 4k Netflix and the like.

I'm not bothered about gaming performance, just that it can adequately handle streaming 4k content.

I'm aware an AMD card would likely be cheapest, but can't find specifically which cards can support and are capable of what I require.

Thanks for any help.

Nvidia requires a GeForce GTX 1050 graphics card or higher with at least 3GB of RAM to stream 4K Netflix videos.   Your monitor must also support HDCP 2.2.

ASUS B650E-F GAMING WIFI + R7 7800X3D + 2x Corsair Vengeance 32GB DDR5-6000 CL30-36-36-76  + ASUS RTX 4090 TUF Gaming OC

Router:  Intel N100 (pfSense) Backup: GL.iNet GL-X3000/ Spitz AX Switches: Netgear MS510TXUP, MS510TXPP, GS110EMX
WiFi6: Zyxel NWA210AX (1.7Gbit peak at 160Mhz) WiFi5: Ubiquiti NanoHD OpenWRT (~500Mbit at 80Mhz)
ISPs: Zen Full Fibre 900 (~930Mbit down, 115Mbit up) + Three 5G (~1200Mbit down, 115Mbit up, variable)

Nvidia GT 1030? very power efficient, and should stream 4k content without issues.

Just did a quick check:

Strange, they say Nvidia GPU 1050 with 3gb or more (which is bullshit, a 1050 always has 2gb).

And GT 1030: https://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gt-1030/specifications

does support HDCP 2.2 according to specs.

Another german Page said, because of these requirements, GTX 1050 ti is the minimum for that.

which means.. it HAS to be a GTX 1050 ti (160€~ or something like that)

But i wonder, why the gt 1030 doesn't support that o.O It should be fast enough for a mere 4k stream.

Oh boy, yet another cut-down garbage model... (yea, im sure nvidia wants to be transparent in what people buy...)

But i do wonder, if this card IS enabled for 4k UHD streams. It does have the 3gb Memory, but it is "just" a GTX 1050 non-ti.

Price isn't even good so.. regardless, anyone in interest should buy a 1050 ti over this crap.
