Torrent problems?

THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH PIRATING. THERE IS SUCH A THING AS A LEGAL TORRENT.

 

 

anyways...uTorrent is not taking full advantage of my download speeds. im getting ~700kB/s. I set my upload speed for 1MB/s hoping to see a boost in download. My upload speed ATM is ~10kB/s....

 

I have 30MB down and 2MB up and on Steam i see around 4MB/s download speeds. Any ideas why im pulling such a low download speed? It normally isnt this low...

Probably because there are not enough seeds. And if there are seeds, they are probably giving a lower upload speed as most people do.

You can only download as fast as the other party is uploading. 

 

the file had 150 seeders so I guess i was feeling confident till i check the peer uploads....theres only like 6 guys actually contributing.
