Literally just looking for a light weight yet decent laptop for university. Good battery life is also needed. Not bothered about a touch screen but would be a handy extra. SSD is obviously a necessity these days too. Max price around £700.

 

13 inch or 15 inch, not bothered. There are loads out there, but they all have their bad points, key boards, screens, so would like some other opinons. I've been looking at some of the Lenovos (I can get the sixth gen X1 Carbon for £750 with student discount and scholarship money from uni.

 

Recommendations would be appreciated.

The X1 Carbon is pretty good, but I'd shop around for a few gens old XPS 15 or 13
