i have the msi b350 tomahawk board.  No problems OC, with the same CPU.   From what ive been told,  there is not a huge difference in between b450 and b350 chipset.

Hope this helps a bit

Ryzen 5 -5600x

ASUS x570

EVGA 3080 XC3

Do you have another mobo option? e.g. Pro4? Both don't have great VRMs, especially the second one, so I wouldn't recommend OCing on them.

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

I go the AsRock B450M Pro4 with my R5 2600. I can overclock it and i love the fact that i get a PCIE 3.0 4x NVME slot and a SSD NVME slot. This allow me to have virtually no extra power cable in the case other than the board main power, cpu fan power and graphic card. Literally 3 cable.

Actually my mistake, the mortar is ok, I was thinking of a different one from MSI. If it's cheaper, though, pro4 is also not bad
