Hey guys,

I5-6400@4ghz 1.22vcore

Having a odd "issue" i booted up this morning and it keept bootlooping with the vga/ram/cpu debug led going disco on me .. switched psu off unplugged power cord hit the on button on the mobo a few times plugged things back in and booted into the bios , the settings where exactly the same as i left them yday except the overlock yday was 4.2ghz at 1.22vcore... i downclocked it to 4ghz and booted into windows installation no problem (swapped harddrives due to bad sectors) now thats fine , the issue is when i shut down the pc and leave it off for anything from 5min to 1 hour when i then turn it back on to do some more benchmarking and testing it gets stuck in a "bootloop" with the debug led going disco again and i have to unplugg power all togheter...

Im guessing its the BCLK OC that its not liking that much and i guess i have to dial it down ? , just restarting it ergo after being in windows it boots perfectly fine, it seems when it loses "power" from being turned off it goes totally nuts and decides to have a rave with the debug led ..

Anyone ever had the same thing with the bootlooping and disco debug ?

Yes before you state the obvious people i know its a tricky thing doing bclk OC but its done without increasing the PCI-E/Dram bclk.. ;)

Good luck with the overclock! My last PC was a non-K 3rd gen processor and it hated even the tiniest of tweaks to the Base clocks.

Meh wasnt the home made power button... ah well.. bumped to 4.5ghz 1.325vcore... doing cpuz bench atm

And all testing is done.. Settled at 4.2ghz with 2704 mhz on the ddr4... 1.22vcore cpu 1.250 on ddr4 (1.2 default)
Outscores my r7 2700x@4.2ghz in single core Geekbench 4 ... by roughly 55 points hahahaha
