Caching a SSD partion

I have a 512 gb nvme and a 4tb WD hard drive, I'm wondering can I use a partion on my SSD to cache the HD like optaine or a hybrid drive and if so how

What OS? Do you want this bootable?

 

There are solutions like storage spaces tiering, and primocache, but for most users, caching isn't worth the effort, and windows will already cache the drive in ram.

The nvme is my boot drive the 4tb is for Mass storage I have win 10

What hardware?

 

There normally isn't a good way to cache this, I woudln't bother here.

The easy way is to add a second ssd. Not many other good options.

Id get a normal dram ssd, like a normal 250gb drive. You can then use something like storage spaces to cache it. I don't see why you would get optane here.
