What i diffrent between a OEM and non OEM if it just desnt have the Heatsink ill be fine with that.

I'm referring to Windows OS when I'm saying this, but in terms of OEM for an OS. it means that Microsoft themselves will not support it. OEM normally is used for new computers.

I'm assuming when referring to a CPU it's the same thing. As Intel will not support you if you have problems with your CPU.

That's pretty much it - typically getting something "oem" means without box, packaging extra's, etc. OEM PCU will most times just be the CPU itself. Also, the warranty can sometimes be different. I think most retail CPU are like 3 years and OEM are 1 year, something like that.

As Whaler said, OEM CPU will just be the CPU, you won't get the heatsink.

so I cant find a i5 3570k OEM for some reason. (im in the U.S.) i did a straight up google search and i didnt see any . Any suggestions where to buy?
