Building a Gaming PC

vjizzle2384

So am new to Gaming on PC and my PC is about 8 years old and can only do gaming at low settings.

I have a budget of $1000-$1200, i was looking around and i was overwhelmed with some many types of MOBO and CPUs.

What I Have:

1. CASE

2. 212 EVO MASTER COOLER

4  SSD 120GB and 1TB 2.5 HDD

3. and GAMING MOUSE AND KEYBOARD (But want to use PS4 controller dont like keyboard).

What I NEED:

1.  GAMING MOBO (if it has RGB lights that be cool)

2. CPU (i want the Intel 7 8700 or the Ryzen 7 2700x) (which ever is better)

3.  GPU

4. Memory

5. Powersupply

Here is my list i picked from AMAZON but i dont know it is any of it is good.

maybe you could downgrade the mobo to a b450 tomahawk which'll save you like $50, and get a 1070ti which will bring the cost to wot like $1030

You should get i7 8700k and EVGA Z370 classified K. That's basically what I use (I have the 8086k, but it's also using the Hyper 212 evo.) Your other selections for ram and PSU are fine, but consider a higher quality PSU like the EVGA G2.

Edit: I just saw that you don't know the size of your PC case, you posted an ATX motherboard in the original post but said you think you have mATX so if you find out you should post it

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

Depends on your use. If you are only going to use the system for gaming, and want the maximum gaming performance, go for Intel. If you want gaming performance plus some editing/production capabilities, go for AMD. It's entirely up to you. If your budget is limited, go for AMD. You won't notice too much of a difference in everyday use.

what is better a intel system or AMD i know it maybe a stupid question sorry

What is your monitor resolution/refresh rate, and what are you doing with your PC besides gaming?

The R5 2600 is the best CPU for the money right now, the Ryzen 7 Chips would be better for streaming/production stuff.

Intel is going to have the best 144hz gaming, though not by too huge of a margin, say 100fps for ryzen vs 120+fps for intel in the average AAA game

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

No modern CPU supports windows 7 officially/easily, you can install and use windows 10 without a key for free

If you want good and cheap get an R5 2600

If you are only gaming at 1080p 60hz an RX 570/580 will be fine
