Try to get it open, take it apart as far as you can. Clean it with just some normal water (to make sure all tea is off). Put it on a towel and leave it there for like 1 week, to be sure its a 100% dry)

Then assemble the mouse and it should work fine (if nothing has been short-out at the moment you spilled the tea on it). :)

Have done this with multiple keyboards myself, so as long as the mouse didn't die immediately you got a rather good chance of fixing it by just clean/dry it :)

There may be sugar stuck inside of it along with liquids that have not been fully removed.

If you can-- Put in a baggie with Epson Salts (Epson salts are better than rice, plus they won't leave that weird residue that some rice leaves)

When it's dried for a day or two, get some alcohol (rubbing is fine) and use a Q-tip, try to remove any sugar residue from the bottom laser and buttons.

Goodluck, tell us how it goes and what worked for you!

You can also try this idea OP, as long as you're savvy enough to disassemble it and re-assemble it.

Mice are generally pretty good at coming back to life unless you bashed its poor little brains out from a rage moment.

Just keep calm, take your time cleansing it, and you'll have it back in no time.

unplug mouse (water and electricity are bad), take it apart, let any part thats been affected dry out. If there's any corrosion to the pcb, it's dead.

otherwise, you can try comforting the mouse.. There there little mouse.. you probably have to spend $30 on a new one

Few weeks ago friend of mine spilled coke on his Corsair Strafe, I've made pictures of the cleaning process.

Worked like a charm after 1 week of drying
