CPU overclock broken?

i7-6800k
asus x99 gaming strix

Problem:
my overclock in the bios (42x @1.375v - I know this is high dw) doesn't work properly.
C0 - 38x
C1-5 - 36x

 

VID 0 - 1.192

VID 1-5 - 1.135 approx

 

Read from CPUID HWMonitor
My System is unstable and occasionally crashed, freezes or BSODs
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

What i have done to troubleshoot:
Clear CMOS
Increased Voltage
Decreased Clock

Increased Cache Clock (this actually worked until I got a Watchdog timing error) 

I think my motherboards CPU power regulator might be F***ed or my CPU itself.

If anyone can shed some insight into the problem I would be most grateful.

what happens if you run it on stock performance over a longer period of time, issue still persists?

I have the same exact CPU and problem. I have the Asus X99 Deluxe II though. Haven't found a solution yet

Stock runs alright for the most part though i haven't stressed it. it hasn't been stock for over a year ^ 

the issue only came to my attention a couple of weeks ago and i had been having stability issues for about 2 weeks prior to that ^
