So with the budget ($250-300 for  GPU) i have and new to PC gaming i see that the GTX 1070 and 1080 are way to expensive and i have a PS4 that i use alot, but want to game on PC to but now as much as the PS4.

My PC is an older system its a 3.2 GHz 4 Core 4 Threads,  8GB DDR2, Win 7

But i have been looking at the GTX 1060 6GB, so i went on Amazon and there are so many different types of the same thing and different prices.  Now am lost on why there are different and which one to pick here is the Amazon search with different prices: https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=nvidia+gtx+1060&tag=wpcentralb-20&ascsubtag=UUwpUdUnU47028YYwYg.

Games i want to play are Red Dead 2, GTA V, maybe shoots like Blacks Ops 4 and Sports games like Madden and NBA.

Now would it be better i use this money for a newer CPU and Motherboard or buy a GPU and be able to use it and buy a MOBO and CPU all that later.

Please help

you might wanna wait for the RTX to come out, then see what the pricing is for that and also get a better idea for all thats available with your budget

I believe you have a core 2 quad, judging by the specs. You won't have any luck in modern titles, even with a 1060. There's a hard performance cap around the 1050 ti, so anything more expensive is a waste. Get yourself a used i5 6400 or something, it'll take you further. Once you got that, any old 1060 6gb will do

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I need?

I think you should buy a newer system, say an used Xeon X5650 system will be a lot better than the current system you have. It's Relatively cheap for the CPU Motherboard and RAM, and then sell that old system
