What mechanical keyboard?

Hi,

I am a low DPI (400) gamer and have been using the Razer Blackwidow Chroma V2 with the Razer green switches for a while now. I liked the keyboard, but there is one problem. I had too little space for my mouse as it has a numpad. I want to buy a TKL keyboard, but don't know which one. I have been torn between the Logitech G-Pro keyboard, but don't know if I like the Romer-G switches, or the Ducky One 2 or Ducky One keyboard (Don't know what the difference is) with the brown switches. I don't care that much about RGB, but I would like it to have backlighting. I have also looked into 60% keyboard (the Vortex Pok3r). I will be using my keyboard for mostly gaming (FPS games like Overwatch, Fortnite and Rainbow Six Siege), but also some typing. If you have any other recomendations for keyboards I would love to know or if any of these are a good option. Any answers would be appreciated.

big area for debate. its down to preference really, if i assume you want mechanical then the different switch will be down to what you want. people recommend but its going to be your keyboard at the end of the day. so its your choice.

You have to try the switches. It's really the only way. It's purely a personal preference thing, there is no "right" answer anyone else can give you.

Thank you. I think the brown switches are a good choice for me. I think I will buy the Vortex Pok3r, but is the 60% too small?

Depends on how much you use the number pad. I'm currently switched from a laptop with a number pad to one without and haven't gotten a urge to go out and buy a USB number pad for it.

The only thing I would say is, unless you're doing spreadsheets all the time, a number pad isn't exactly necessary. But then again, this is all down to personal preference.

I never use the numpad so I don’t think it will be an issue.

Final Thoughts

There is no such thing the best switch for gaming. While it’s generally agreed upon that mechanical keyboards offer superior durability and performance, the choice of what to purchase depends entirely on your preference.
