Can I Upgrade and Put windows on a Xbox

Hello,

I have a spare Xbox One S at home and was thinking of upgrading from my older computer,

I was wondering if anybody knew what Components of the Xbox I can upgrade and if Windows 10 will be compatible with the Xbox

Most components will be soldered to the mainboard so you won't be able upgrade much, I would expect you can upgrade the HDD assuming it's sata.

 

As for running windows 10 it may be possible, but it wouldn't be supported or easy to do.

I'm fairly sure only HDD is easily changable. As for Windowsn, you'd need to access BIOS first. And even then its not going to be easy. Its doable, but as consoles are designed to be closed systems, BIOS is either locked or requires special interaction to gain access. Hardware-wise it should work as base is AMD APU. Not PowerPC as it used to be.
