Extremely long boot time

Go to solution Solved by GuiltySpark_,

Memory training is normal but if properly setup should only happen after making changes in the BIOS. Subsequent boots should be normal. Have you updated the BIOS? If so, there will be an option you'll want to find call MCR or Memory Context Restore and be sure that's on. Unfortunately where that is differs for every board.

I have recently built a new PC. The boot time is extremely long, somewhere around a full minute.

I've read somewhere that it may have something to do with RAM training?

Any insight and possible solutions would be appreciated.

RAM training should only occur once I think. (Unless you make some changes.)

Where does it take the most of the time when booting? Is it before it starts to load Windows? Is it during the Windows startup? Is it right after the login to Windows?

(I assumed that you're using Windows)

Please write full specs of the pc and OS.

Apologies for my extremely late reply. It's happening way before getting into Windows. Even if i wanted to access my BIOS I have to wait a good minute or two. As per the previous reply, I enabled Memory Context Restore and it sems to be vastly improved. I'm just hoping my computer remains stable as I've read there could be some instability issues involved with this setting enabled.

Enabling Memory Control Restore seems to have fixed my issue. Thank you
