Chipset doesn't matter much, Board does.

Thing is that there are low end Boards with both chipsets but the higher end ones always have the X470 one on it...

 

So I'd look at the Boards and not the Chipset for AMD.

If you find overclocking to be more important, it is probably just smart to look at the power delivery for the CPU and memory. For example an Asus RoG Strix X470-F has:

 

  Total number chokes 10  
  Primary PWM controller Digi+ ASP1405I  
  CPU - Number mosfets per choke 1  
  CPU - Type mosfets IR3555M  
  PWM Controller supported phase 4+2 Phase PWM Controller  
  Mosfet Ampère rating 60

 

For a total of 600 Amps of current. But that makes the board expensive, around €224 here at the moment. But if you only have an air cooler and are not planning to get 100% of the performance out of the chip, a cheaper B450 will do just fine.
