My uncle is making his own startup, and wants to expand his display when he gets home from work

he has a macbook air 13 inch 2012 and im trying to use the thunderbolt single connector to hook up 2 monitors.

these dont have to be ips or anything special, just some real estate (preferably 1080p+, but if its too expensive 900p is decent)

and also how would i do the setup? would i use a thunderbolt capable monitor? or just use a hub? any reccomendations.

i want this setup to be under 100 dollars for the monitors excluding the cables. Thanks as always

Just a mini-DP to HDMI/DVI adapter will work.

You'll be hard pressed to get two decent monitors for under $100.

i shouldve rephrased, i meant by decent anything thats clear enough to read documents and the such.

I do not need a IPS display like @Sombra has linked me

and also the miniDP to hdmi adpater only adapts one, not two. I need to use more than one monitor at the same time.

Like i had said, a hub would be nice.

I linked IPS models as I couldn't find any monitor under $50 so you would have to limit yourself to one anyway.

The cheapest I can give you is a 900p Acer for $65 that I wouldn't recommend.

As far as the adaptor, I don't believe the Macbook Air can output two display signals over one mini DP cord and Thunderbolt 2 hubs are out of your budget as they're roughly $200.

You may be asking too much from your budget.

the macbook air has only one miniDP port iirc. so you'd still need to get a thunderbolt hub that I referenced earlier or, preferably, get a bigger panel to compensate for the lack of a second one. You can get one of the older LG 29" ultrawides or possibly a cheap 27" 1440p
