can useing two older ribbon sli bridge's work for pascal card's ?

I have a EVGA SC 1080 TI and I'm looking to get another card to SLI them. but I really want to get a different card like the MSI GAMING 1080 TI. yes I know I'm strange :/.

 

so dose anyone know if using two of the older ribbon SLI bridge's will work like a newer high bandwidth SLI bridge ?

Yeah, they work.

 

The so-called High Bandwidth SLI bridges are just 2 of the single style connections stitched together.

You can just use one if you want. Only an issue if you plan on running them at high res. Only a few FPS anyway.
