Bottleneck

Hey guys so, i just bought rx 570. Im building some Budget pc. So I have an old Phenom ii x4 945 Processor, And i think im getting bottlenecked by it not really sure how bottleneck works but im not getting preformance i expected to. this is temporary processor till i get a new one im thinking of i5 2400. So my question is it normal to have bad preformance with Phenom ii x4 945 and Rx 570. Im getting like 30 fps in battlefield 1 Fortnite fps is all over the place like 40/120. And if i buy a i5 2400 can expect normal preformance.

Yeah, the Phenom will be a bottleneck for that GPU, but so will the 2400. They're both around 7-8 years old at this point. You'd be better off picking something newer, preferably with 6 threads or more (not AMD FX). An i7 2600 would be as low as you should go imo.

Thanks, Can you recommend me some DDR3 mb cpu combo, Becouse now i have 16g of ddr3 ram, That is why i choose to go for 7 years old cpu. It kinda hurts me to buy 2 sticks of ddr4 8gb ram for 200$. Oh nvm i just saw u said i7 2600. Thanks

How much money do you want to spend?

4790K with a z97 mobo still kicks ass and it's ddr3

an i7 2600 would be ideal lowest, would still be a minor bottleneck in some cpu-intensive games but generally good for that gpu

@ZeouLs Yeah ik but here in Serbia its pretty hard to find new ones 4,5 gen. no way of finding used. maybe but hard rn there is only 2 deals for like 350$ . I think i will go for i7 2600 for now. Thanks guys
