Help with Archer t6e network card

Ive recently upgraded from my crappy usb 2.0 wifi adapter to the TP-link archer t6e. Before, I was getting a ping of around 200 in gaming. With my archer t6e, I am now getting 240 in game. I have windows on performance mode, the drivers are installed, and yet I'm getting a worse ping. The most interesting thing I found was when I was running speed tests, both my computers download/upload speed and ping started improving without bounds, and as soon as it was over slowed the hell down again. It's like it's putting on a show to demonstrate. This is nothing to do with my router or ISP because when I game on my laptop on the same 5ghz wifi I get 40-60. I don,t know what to do and I've looked everywhere. Please help

CPU: AMD FX 6100 (OC)

GPU: AMD Rx 580

RAM: 16gb mixed brand ddr3

NETWORKING: TP-LINK Archer T6E

Sound: DIAMOND HD audiocard
