Yes, I enabled DX12 then turned the game off and went to lunch. I'm guessing this is the issue?

How do I reverse this without getting into the game o.O?

You should be able to change them in config files, should be the same like BF1

Every time I open BF5, my game crashes and I get the below message.

Also my drivers remove themselves and my second monitor goes into sleep mode. Please help

GTX 770 FE 2GB

Version 399.07 Drivers

What driver are you running? Please more specifics. What GPU. What do you mean GPU drivers are removed, did you remove them? How does monitor shutoff, by itself??

My bad

GTX 770 FE 2GB

Version 399.07 Drivers

They remove themselves after the error happens.

The monitor disconnects and goes into sleep mode.

Hopefully that helps. I'll add this to the main post.

That is so weird, I never heard of a program uninstalling a gpu driver and making a monitor go to sleep. I would remove the cmos battery and reinstall it, reseat gpu in pcie slot(All of that just in case)  and reinstall windows. Maby even update bios or re flash the current one.

Before you do that, try reinstalling drivers and unplugging second monitor (Maby it is causing issues)

If that fixes it try a different cable for monitor

It could be anything.

Does this only happen after launching battlefield??

I am sorry but I am gonna to sleep now, hopefully me or other people will help you resolve your issue tomorrow or today.

But this is so weird, this issue.

I am just trying to understand?? Removing or uninstalling a driver takes time?? How does a game uninstall it??

Tell me about it... It's super frustrating. I was playing BF5 just fine before this.

Come to think of it, I changed an option in-game to run on DX12 instead of 11 to see if it would make a difference before all of this.

That's the only change I've made; maybe that freaked the card out?

And yes, the drivers are no longer there *instantly* in the geforce app, it says drivers are aval again.

I'll try what you offered, hopefully it corrects the issue.

You should be able to change them in config files, should be the same like BF1

Didn't work... I'm not sure what's going on. It just keeps doing the same thing over and over.

delete the entire bfv save folder in documents

FIXED!!!!!! DX12 is now disabled and the game runes just fine. Thank you guys for all of your help. Seriously appreciate it.

Hopefully I'll never deal with this again after my GTX 1070 gets here.
