Hey guys, I'd appreciate it if you could help me out.

My setup:

I7-6700k

Asus Maximus VIII Hero Alpha

Corsair Dominator 16GB 3000Mhz

980Ti Hybrid SLI

Corsair RM1000i

WD Black 2TB and 1TB

Samsung 850 Evo 500GB and 1TB SSD

**New Samsung 960 EVO M.2 1TB

I installed the M.2 on my mobo, but I did not see it anywhere in BIOS except for when I looked in the Boot Menu. Upon entering Windows, I do not see the M.2 detected nor do I see it in Disk Management or Samsung Magician. I was hoping you could help me figure out whats going on, I'd truly appreciate it! Hopefully I provided enough information.

Thanks again

**Also, I have yet to change any settings in BIOS yet because even when I looked up what to do, I couldn't find anything useful pertaining to me.

***EDIT: I do see it in Samsung Magician after a restart, here is a screenshot I took in case it helps. https://gyazo.com/c45ab8b90b21a0da3764b2067bb314ec

Update the BIOS and make sure nothing is plugged into the PCIE slot that shares the space with the M.2.

@WaitDontSh00t

In which is the PCIEX4_3. Just make sure nothing is attached to that slot.

On BIOS . Go to Advanced \ Onboard Devices Configuration

Make sure the PCIEX4_3/M.2 is set to M.2 Mode instead of PCIEX4_3

Nothing is attached to that slot. For some reason that option is not showing up for where you told me to go. I don't see PCIEX4_3/M.2 anywhere.

I feel like it knows the M.2 is in there and secure. It shows in the boot menu. I'd take a picture if you really need it. Though I'd have to remove my second card again.

Very odd I'm not seeing that setting anywhere. Do I need to remove some of my drives to a different sata port? Would that be an issue? I honestly can't think of what else to try.

Since it shows up in boot menu, u don't have to take a photo or remove it.
U don't need to remove the sata port because it's running on PCIE not SATA.

Can you try going to Device Manager and see if the driver is installed there?

In Device Manager > Disk Drives I do see my M.2 showing there.

Though it does still not show in Disk Management.

Disk 0 is the 960 Evo.

Right click it.

Just format and assign a drive letter for it.

I didn't even notice it down there at first, thought it would pop up on top to format. Thanks so much for your help. Much appreciated!
