Linus's router case

Geran

What is Linus using for his router now that the case he used originally for it is the water cooled server at the bottom of the rack?

Pretty sure it's still a PfSense box. Perhaps in a different enclosure.

That's what I figured just curious what enclosure he changed it to.

I am in no way associated with LMG so I'm only going by information they've released... That said

That blue water cooled server encodes footage and uploads it to the multiple platforms as described here.

As far as the router goes...about a year ago with the server room VLOG there was a unit described here...

Though the server rack as seen in the first video (which is a newer video) that router is no longer in the rack. It is possible LMG is either using PFsense in a VM or they're using another box somewhere else. It is possible LMG doesn't really want to say how their router and security is setup and I really wouldn't blame them for that.

If you look in the top of the rack in This Video behind the white Cat6E cables, you can see a black box in a 1U space. I believe this is their router and firewall. I don't know what the enclosure is but It just looks like a generic 1U router that they probably have PF on.

That appears to be an MRV optiswitch. Likely to hook a fiber network into their copper network.

(you can kind of make out the logo in this video)
