Good combo?

I currently have the http://www.microcenter.com/product/502156/ROG_MAXIMUS_X_HERO_WI-FI_AC_LGA_1151_ATX_Intel_Motherboard paired with an I7 8700k and I was thinking about adding this https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=0D9-0017-000C2

 

For the price and what I need I thought it was pretty good just wanted to get some other opinions

should be just fine. It not the fastest most high end one, but will easily get the job done.
